About the Nile River
The Nile River begins in the mountains of Africa and flows north
to the Mediterranean Sea. It flows through thousands of miles of desert. After thousands of miles the river has many waterfalls and cataracts. At the end, the Nile calms down and then it branches into many small streams before flowing into the Mediterranean.

Uses
The River was very important to the Ancient Egyptians so
they could carry heavy things to the other side by sailing on a boat, get water for the crops and an endless supply of water for everyone and the animals. The Nile usually floods so people worked around that and moved somewhere else. When the water goes away they are left with fertile soil. The Nile valley also has sunny frost free climate which is good for growing different kinds of plants.
